Forest Ridge Veterinary Hospital was established in September of 2024 and is privately owned and operated. Dr. White and her team grew tired and frustrated with the corporate movement in Veterinary medicine after nearly 30 years of service, Dr. White decided to open Forest Ridge with the help of her devoted team in order to bring back the family feel to veterinary medicine. The Forest Ridge team is composed of compassionate and experienced managers, licensed technicians, and assistants all dedicated to passionately providing care to your four legged family members.
As a practice we are dedicated to making vet visits as low stress as possible for you and your pet. We employ fear free colors throughout our practice. Fear free colors refer to soft, muted tones like blues, greens, and purples, which are known to have a calming effect on pets. These colors are used in exam rooms, scrubs, and equipment to create a more soothing environment. Our team also uses gentle handling when interacting with your pet. Gentle handling involves low-stress techniques, such as allowing pets to explore the environment at their own pace, using treats and positive reinforcement, and minimizing force or restraint. We also use Feliway spray for cats and Adaptil for dogs to decrease anxiety during vet visits.
Feliway cat spray is a synthetic pheromone product, it mimics the natural calming pheromones that cats release. Feliway helps alleviate behaviors related to fear, marking, and aggression by promoting a feeling of safety and comfort during situations like vet visits, travel, or changes in the home environment. Adaptil is a canine synthetic pheromone product, it mimics the calming pheromones that mother dogs naturally release to reassure their puppies. Adaptil helps create a more relaxed and comforting environment for dogs. Adaptil can reduce fear-related behaviors like barking, panting, or aggression during situations like vet visits, travel, or changes in the home environment.

In our hospital we use Casco Pet kennels as another way to reduce patient anxiety while they stay with us. Canine Casco Pet kennels are designed to be significantly quieter than steel cages, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for our canine patients. Unlike traditional cages Casco Pet kennels do no not have bars making them easier to clean and creating a more hygienic hospital environment. In addition to the previously mentioned advantages, Casco Pet feline kennels come equipped with frosted glass sections creating a stress-free environment by reducing distractions and promoting a sense of seclusion for feline patients.
