Dr. Lorna White
DVM
Dr. White has been a veterinarian for over 30 years. She grew up in Vermont on her family farm which was where she found her lover of animals and caring for them. She graduated from Ross University in 1994. Her first job as a veterinarian was in Olean NY where she cared for both large and small animals. Since then she has worked exclusively with small companion nails at various clinics. In spring of 2021 she accepted a position as a relief veterinarian for the greater capital region. Working as a relief doctor allowed her to travel to many clinics, during this time she picked up many new ideas and systems for running an efficient clinic with a high quality of medicine standard. During her time as a relief vet Dr. White met her current team and together they created FRVH. Although Dr. White loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, she is very passionate about dermatology and geriatrics. Dr. White’s love of dermatology and geriatrics came from helping her own 17 year old dog through life long allergies and live her golden years comfortably. She strives to help all senior pets live out their lives comfortably. Through personal experience Dr. White has gained a vast knowledge of specialty diets and medications needed to help itchy pets live comfortably. When she is not working Dr. White enjoys traveling with her 3 kids, camping in her RV, and swimming especially in the warm Caribbean ocean.
